SHKODRA, April 22 – Albanian President Bamir Topi hosted his visiting Croatian counterpart, Stipe Mesic and Montengrin President Philip Vujanovic, in an informal meeting in the northern Albanian city of Shkodra Tuesday.
Mesic was on a two-day visit to Albania.
Relations between their countries, their efforts of integrating into NATO and the European Union, and security and stability in the Balkans, were the main issues in the talks.
The Adraitic-Ioannnian corridor, which crosses from Croatia in the north, then into Montenegro and further to Albania, was a main topic of discussion. The three countries have shared shorelines on the two seas.
The presidents said they would do their utmost to develop this seaside’s infrastructure, hoping it would boost economic and human development in the area. (Tirana Times Staff)
