Albania marks cultural days in Russia

TIRANA, Sept. 26 – Concerts, folklore performances, movie screenings and an exhibition on Albanian iconography will be some of the events marking the Albanian Cultural Days in Russia. The opening ceremony will be held in Moscow on Oct. 1 when a three-year cultural cooperation agreement will be signed.
“I am convinced that such events will establish linking bridges to exchange the most important values between our countries,” says Culture Minister Aldo Bumci.
From the establishment of the communist regime in 1944 until the early 1960s, Russia was Albania’s top ally.
Last year, Russia celebrated its cultural days in Albania while, the Albanian cinema was featured in Moscow for one week showcasing some of its best productions.
