Albanian army chief-of-staff visits Italy

ROME, June 1 – Albanian army Chief-of-staff, Gen. Lt. Luan Hoxha, traveled to Italy last week to discuss relations between the armed forces with his Italian counterpart, Vincenzo Camporini. Italy pledged to continue support to Albanian armed forces through the cooperation projects managed by the Italian Delegation experts. Italy also will assist Albania in maintaining its AB-205 helicopters, modernizing its air forces and monitoring its airspace. On the dismantling process of excess ammunition in Albania, the Italian Defense Ministry expressed its readiness to provide advice. (Tirana Times Staff)
