Albanian art loses giant Sulejman Pitarka

TIRANA, March.26- The last honors to the figure of Sulejman Pitarka the well-know Albanian theatre and film actor who pared on Sunday were held in his own temple, the National Theatre. Authorities form Albanian politics, culture and art fields came to greet for the last time the man who realized powerful characters in numerous plays and movies. Colleagues recounted his warm voice and his powerful acting, his smooth metamorphosis into different character and his great contribution to Albanian art in general. Pitarka was born in 1924 in Diber. His career numbers more than 50 appearances on theater stage and more than 20 in movies. He wrote the play “The fisherman’s family.”
