Albanian extradited from Greece for theft, more arrests

TIRANA, Feb. 28 – Armando Pepa, 33, was handed over to Interpol Tirana from their Greek counterparts to serve his imprisonment at home.
Pepa was under an international arrest warrant for an armed theft he had committed in 2005 in Gorishtaj village in Lushnja district. They had stolen money from a local businessman there.
Pepa was arrested from Interpol Athens two years ago.

Albanian police have arrested two persons with an international arrest warrant.

G컩m Muharremi, 43, an ethnic Albanian from Kosovo, was arrested after Italian legal authorities wanted him for drug trafficking. He is believed to have trafficked at least 27 kilograms of heroin while in Italy in 2001. The arrest warrant was issued in September 2009 from the Italian authorities.
A German citizen named Wolfgang Manfred Schuster, 45, was wanted from the Austrian authorities for commercial deceit.
During a year time period (2008-09) he is believed that has committed nine times criminal acts that have created a damage of 50,000 euros.
In neighboring Greece an Albanian named Leonard Sotiraq Kamburi, 46, was arrested in Thessaloniki. Kamburi is sentenced to 25 years imprisonment from the Pogradec district court for a murder. In 1994 he killed with a knife a person following a quarrel.
Krenar Xhaferr Me诬 32, coming from in Italy, was arrested after the Albanian police found out he has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for a theft he had committed using weapons.
Also at the international airport police arrested Elton Seit Tabaku, 34, coming from Belgium. He has also been sentenced with some days of prison in 2009 for falsifying documents.
