TIRANA, April 4 – Sokol Simomataj, 29, was extradited from Italy to serve his 25 years of imprisonment in his homeland.
Simomataj was arrested by Italian police in 2004. He was sentenced in 2003 for murder and illegal weapon possession.
Another Albanian, Besim Doku, 49, was arrested in Italy. He is also expecting to be extradited to his homeland to serve 23 years imprisonment also for murder sentenced in 2004.
