Albanian films for one week in Bucharest

TIRANA, Oct. 10 – Some of the best productions of Albanian cinematography will be featured for one week in Bucharest as part of events celebrating Albania’s 100th anniversary of independence. The initiative by the Albanian embassy in Bucharest is aimed at promoting Albanian culture in Romania, which is host to one of the oldest Albanian Diaspora communities. Recent movies such as Alive by Artan Minarolli, East West East, Der Albaner, the Slogans and Kukumi are scheduled to be screened in Bucharest’s Euforia cinema from Oct. 15 to 20.
“Perralle nga e kaluara” (Tale from the past), a 1987 comedy directed by Dhimiter Anagnosti is also part of the Albanian Film Week in Bucharest.
