Albanian, Greek police cooPerate against human trafficking

GJIROKASTRA, March 27 – Albanian police in southern Gjirokastra and their Greek counterparts in Ioannina collaborated in an operation to fight human traffic exploiting the green border between the two countries, police reported Tuesday. In that context police stopped 18 Albanians at Peshkepi village, near Kkakavie border point, trying to cross illegally into Greece. They found out that two out of 18 perceons were the organizers _ Eugen Mylazim Garxenaj, 31, and Krenar Myrteza Boci, 37, both residents in Gjirokastra. It was learnt that each of the immigrants-to-be had paid 1,500-2,000 euros. Police are still trying to identify other organizers of such a move.
In another operation Sokol Topalli, 38, in Shkodra was arrested for illegal border crossing to Montenegro with false documents. He was found with an Italian passport and Greek Schenghen visa, which were both false.
P쭬umb Skura, 25, resident in Librazhd, was arrested in Rinasi international airport trying to pass with a fake German Schenghen visa. While Indrit Bajraktari, 21, from Shkod철was also arrested at the airport with fake Italian passport.
