Albanian shoots Briton, kills self, on Greek island

TIRANA, April 14 – An Albanian man has allegedly shot a British woman in the hand on the Greek holiday island of Rhodes. The Albanian man fired at a car with a hunting rifle, slightly injuring the woman and a Greek man, before killing himself, police said.
Police said the 32-year-old Albanian man was in love with a girl from Sweden, who worked in a cafe, and they had ended their relationship some months before. The Greek man and the British woman had gone to the cafe to pick up the Swedish woman. The Albanian man was very angry and apparently shot at the car. The Greek man was hit in the left arm and the British woman in the left hand, but police report they were not seriously hurt.
The Albanian man thought he had killed somebody and committed suicide, shooting himself in the head, according to police.(Tirana Times Staff)
