Albanian singer ready to start musical career

TIRANA, Sep. 24 -Anjeza Shahini, highly reputed for her voice, intends to return to singing in her homeland.
Shahini returned to Albania after studying for two years in Vienna.
In an interview with the Albanian newspaper Korrieri, the 20-year-old singer talked about her stay in Austria and plans for the future. She also revealed that she’d like to represent Albania one more time at the Eurovision Song Contest!
After her participation in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, Anjeza left for Vienna to study pop, rock and jazz music at university.
“I really had a great time in Austria; it was a great experience. I got the chance to work with several talented producers. However, now that I’ve finished my studies, I think it’s time to start my musical career in Albania,” she said.
In November, she will take part in the largest Albanian music festival, Kenga Magjike.
At the moment, Anjeza is finishing her new album and she’s shooting the video clip for the first hit single, which should air on Albanian television within a couple of weeks.
“The Eurovision Song Contest was an amazing experience and to take part again might be an excellent chance to build up my musical career,” said Anjeza.
Anjeza Shahini participated in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul where she took seventh place.
