Albanians extradited from Germany, Italy

TIRANA, June 3 – Zaim Nelaj was extradited from Germany to serve his prison term in his homeland following a 2001 Albanian court ruling.
Nelaj, 26, has been sentenced to 19 years imprisonment in 2001 for the murder of Afrim Isufi. The appeals court later reduced the sentence to nine and a half years. In another move, two Albanians were extradited from Italy.
Juraldo Dida, 22, had been sentenced to three years imprisonment in 2006 for injuring a person in 2004, while Dhimiter Xhallo, 56, was sentenced to 13 years imprisonment in 2001 for kidnapping and holding for ransom a person with help from three others. (Tirana Times Staff)
