Albania’s Current Account deficit widens

TIRANA, Nov.17 – Bank of Albania published recent data showing that Albania’s second-quarter current account deficit widened by 19.2 percent compared to last year. The deficit has reached to 175.4 million euro ($225 million), according to BoA’s data. The main categories responsible for the deficit are goods and services. Albania imports significantly to provide for its consumer needs. Deficits have been one of the most controversial aspects of parliamentary discussions regarding the budget.
