Albania’s francophone day

TIRANA, March 20 – Albanian Foreign Ministry held last week an official ceremony for the International Day of Francophone.
Senior officials starting from Minister Lulzim Basha, Deputy Prime Minister Genc Pollo, deputy parliament Speaker Neritan Ceka and other lawmakers and top officials were present at the ceremony.
Basha spoke about the importance of the Albanian Government pays to promoting the common cultural and political values of Francophone in light of the diversity of cultures, dialogue of civilizations and multilinguism.
Albanian Francophone is considered as a good tool to strengthen the Albanian-French ties through multiple contributions in the fields of culture, the letters, education and science, media and public life.
A number of political and public life personalities were awarded with the “2009 Francophone personality prize” for their contributions and active commitment towards promoting the values of the Francophone in the national and international context.
