TIRANA, May 27 – All private companies involved in taking chromium and other metals in northern Albania will be investigated by the prosecutor office if they comply fully with the technical measures they are supposed to take and set for their employees. The move was made following the death of another miner in Mati district earlier this week, the second in a week, or the 13th in the last year in that area. Many private companies have been given by concession different parts of the area where they dig the metals in the old mines and often the technical measures used during the work are below standards.
