TIRANA, March 12 – In a solo exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Art, Albanian artist and professor Arben Bajo is showcasing a series of sculptures focusing on academic deformation, horses and still nature, nudes and style.

Speaking about his nude sculpture, Bajo says he has featured elegant women of present days, stripping them of fashion clothes and makeup in an attempt to break taboos about nudity in art in Albania.

“Bajo’s sculptures, although far from the current trends, invite art lovers for a short time in a dialogue between form and subject as to strengthen the notion that art changes the view on ourselves and the world and with the hope that the society will notice this,” says critic Ermir Hoxha.

The exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Art will remain open until March 25.
