This year’s Deutscher Oktober events commemorate the 25th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Albania
TIRANA, Sept. 24 – “Twenty-five years, the art of creation” will be the motto of this year’s sixth edition of the German October events which mark the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Albania. “Architecture and urban planning” will also be a specific topic as a form of art which surrounds modern human beings and influences on the everyday life and its psychology in the same way like music literature and painting. Dozens of events, including exhibitions, movies, concerts, trade fairs, conferences, and a beer fest will be staged from Sept. 27 to Nov. 14 in Tirana, Durres, Elbasan, Shkod첬 Kor諬 Gjirokast첬 Lezh묠Berat and Pogradec.
The 25th anniversary of the reestablishment of the diplomatic relations will be commemorated in two events at the Foreign Ministry premises on Oct. 1 and 10 when a conference called “From Isolation to European Integration” will also be held.
Projects such as “This is nor a test: Music for the public” will attempt the interpretation of the public in a musical form. An exhibition on German UNESCO World Heritage centres is also scheduled to be held in Tirana.
The German International Cooperation, GIZ, is also organizing a competition on green architecture. A tour of concerts by Albania-Swiss Guralumi band and some jazz performances by Fjoralba Turku quartet will be the highlights of the musical events.
An exhibition of fables and the stage of the Hansel and Gretel fairy tale opera by the Dresden Ensemble of the Chamber Opera will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the publication of tales by the Grimm brothers.
