TIRANA, May 3 – Austria’s “Altenberg” trio performed on Thursday at the Academy of Arts in Tirana classical music by Robert Schumann, Joseph Haydn, AntonDvor⫮ The Austrian trio’s concert in Albania was given in the frame of the tenth edition of the Klasik International concert season in Albania.
The Altenberg Trio Wien will conclude its performance in Albania with a second concert at the Jan Kukuzeli art high school in Durres on Friday, May 7, at 19.00.
The concerts are supported by the Austrian embassy in Albania and Sigal Uniqa Group Austria.
Since its official debut during the Salzburg Mozart Week (January 1994), the Altenberg Trio Wien – one of the few full-time piano trios in the world of chamber music – has in far more than 1000 performances earned the reputation of one of the most daring and consistent ensembles in this category. Its repertoire comprises in addition to a large number of works from directly related fields (piano quartets and quintets, duos, triple concertos, vocal chamber music) near to 300 piano trios, among them many pieces which the Altenberg Trio suggested and first performed itself.
The concert was brought by “KLASIK” – International Concert Season, which is the continuation of “Allegretto Albania” project, initially organized by CIDIM (Italian Committee of Music), Italian Culture Institute, “Syri Blu” association, Academy of Arts and the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
Since the 6th Edition, this concert series is managed by 2 Albanian Associations, “Syri Blu” and “Miqte e Muzikes”.
This management has created the cooperation between public institutions, partners and private bodies.
“KLASIK” concert season communicates the universal values of music pointing to the highest quality of concerts, offering different genres of music in Tirana and other cities of Albania, creating “bridges” between Albanian public and young musicians with the invited artists coming from different cultures.
