TIRANA, Feb 4 – Foreign Minister Lulzim Basha said that the dispute over border land between Croatia and Slovenia will not hamper Tirana’s integration process toward becoming a full NATO member.
Slovanian parliament postponed voting on the ratification of the NATO membership protocol for Croatia and Albania referring to a dispute that they have with their neighbor.
There are still eight countries that need to ratify the protocol before the two countries may get full membership, likely at the NATO summit in April.
NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer has met with Slovenian foreign minister, allegedly to discuss this process.
