Belle Air is the second non EU Airline that managed to fulfill all requirements and gain the authorization
TIRANA, Aug. 6 – Albania’s leading airline company, Belle Air, has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval as Continuous Airworthiness Monitoring Organization (CAMO).
EASA is the centerpiece of the European Union’s strategy for aviation safety and has overview over all EU Civil Aviation Authorities and related certifications and approvals.
A CAMO approved organization has the right to maintain and supervise maintenance status of the aircrafts in accordance with the highest EU aviation regulations.
Since recently, also non-EU countries have a chance to be certificated directly by EASA if they manage to fulfill highest industry safety standards.
Belle Air is the second non EU Airline that managed to fulfill all requirements and gain the mentioned authorization.
Beside positive economical impact, CAMO authorization has a strategic role putting Belle Air head to head with EU operators and assuring the applications of the highest standards in aviation.
Earlier this year, Belle Air was awarded the Best Performing New Airline by the Athens International Airport for recording in 2011 the highest passenger traffic numbers, among all newcomers that launched scheduled operations in 2010.
Belle Air has also launched its new Tirana-Vienna destination. As of June 2012 everybody can become part of this experience with direct flights three times a week at the most competitive market prices.
The beautiful islands of Crete and Rhodes are accessed with Belle Air direct flights, twice a week this tourist season.
The launch of new destinations and as a result its fleet expansion, additional sales points and a reward programs for customer loyalty are some of the priorities Belle Air has set for 2012. According to latest data published by the Tirana International Airport (TIA), Belle Air was the airline carrying most passengers to and from Tirana with a 45.8 percent market share in 2011. Currently, 13 airlines fly into and out of TIA connecting Tirana to 30 destinations.
