Berisha holds last cabinet meeting

TIRANA, Sep 2 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha held Wednesday the last cabinet meeting before forming the new government, likely next week.
Berisha used the meeting to thank all his close collaborators for their work during the last four years.
Berisha’s Democratic Party won 70 seats in the June 28 parliamentary poll and is to create the new government together with the Socialist Movement for Integration of Ilir Meta who won four seats.
“We close the mandate after we managed, with deep and overall reforms, to carry out Albania’s full membership into the NATO turning into reality a dream project of the Albanian nation,” he said.
Berisha claimed that the reforms they had made, the major changes in the country and the lives of citizens’ over the last four years turned the country into one of the most attractive ones in the field of business and investment.
“The future government finds a base, a well-built station to open in the next four years new horizons,” he said.
