Berisha meets with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia’s Thaci
TIRANA, Aug 10 – Macedonia’s DPA leader Menduh Thaci met last week in Tirana with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha to discuss political movements and issues of Albanians in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM).
Thaci congratulated Berisha on his victory in the June 28 parliamentary election, assessing it as important for Albania since it represents continuation of already started projects and activities realized by the government.
Berisha said that the next four years will offer a very great opportunity for the economic-social development of Albania. He emphasized the road infrastructure as very important especially the Rruga e Arbrit highway which is being constructed and connects Tirana with the Bllate border crossing near Diber.
Thaci and Berisha also exchanged opinions on the situation in the region.
