TIRANA, May 19 – The Promenade Gallery and the Petro Marko theatre in the southern coastal city of Vlora are hosting a special exhibition dedicated to the fall of the Berlin Wall two decades ago. The Berlin Wall exhibition has brought together dozens of Albanian and foreign artists presenting photos, video installations of what really happened with the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989.
The exhibition, curated by Artan Shabani and Simone Mazzeto, will be open until June 13.
The event two decades ago led Germany to reunify, caused the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Cold War’s end. The then communist governments of Eastern Europe fell one after another.
