TIRANA, July 8 – Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi called his Albanian counterpart Sali Berisha to greet him on the election victory and also the coalition deal with the Socialist Movement for Integration of Ilir Meta.
That was probably the first greeting Berisha has received at a time when the final results have yet to come out.
But Berisha has won 70 seats while opposition Socialists have 65 seats. Together with Meta, Berisha goes to 74 seats, enough to create the new government.
