Best Albanian ballet dancers to join in Italy concert

TIRANA, Oct. 24 – Albania’s celebrations of the centenary of independence in Italy will conclude with a gala performance bringing together some of the best Albanian ballet dancers around the world. The event titled “The first time” brings together Albania’s most famous ballet dancers in Italy Kledi Kadiu, Anbeta Toromani and their Albania colleagues around the world performing in Italy and Europe in a concert scheduled for December 9 at the Teatro Brancaccio in Rome.
“It has been 20 years since ballet dancers of our generation have been spread around the world and we had been thinking for a long time to come together in an event,” says Anbeta Toromani, one of Italy’s most famous ballet dancers along with Kledi Kadiu.
The event is supported by the Albanian in embassy in Rome which has held several events to commemorate Albania’s 100th anniversary of independence including a cultural heritage exhibition.
