TIRANA, Jan.10- BoA reported that the Crediting register is up and running since Jan.3 and that it is being updated everyday with information on the new loans. This register has up to now a database of a total of 201.729 registered loans. Evey file will be on the system for five years and at the end of each month information will be updated to include the payments made for the loans.
Commercial banks to create bad credit report list
Commercial banks will use the Crediting Register to create a database of problematic clients. The list of people with bad credit will include information on bad loans and will be used for risk management. Experts from he central bank, the initiator of this register, say that the primary aim of such a register is to avoid illegal actions such as money laundering of the financing of terrorism but do not deny that banks can cerate a networking list for their own safety purposes.
