BoA to auction 12.7bn lek

TIRANA, Feb. 9 – Albania’s central bank said on Tuesday that it will auction 12.7bn leks ($123m/90.2m euro) in six-month and one-year Treasury bills on February 15.
The bank, which auctions government securities on behalf of the Finance Ministry, will offer 5.3bn leks of six-month T-bills and 7.4bn leks of one-year T-bills.
The latest issue of six-month government paper produced an average yield of 6.34% on January 30, down from 6.29% in the previous auction.
The country’s one-year T-bills yielded an average 6.87% at the last auction held on February 1, up from 6.83% in the previous auction.
The Bank of Albania auctioned T-bills worth 349.356bn leks in par value last year. It has sold 43.87 worth of T-bills so far this year.
