TIRANA, Dec.14- A memorandum of agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Education and the Bank of Albania that will launch a cooperative initiative to provide information and lectures to high-school students on the importance of central banking and of the BoA as an institution. The education program will be titled “The central bank and its role in daily life”. On this occasion, BoA governor Ardian Fullani and Minister of Education Gen Pollo held a meeting with the students of one of the largest high schools in Tirana, Qemal Stafa, where they presented the three main pillars of the program. First, trainings will be organized with teachers. Second, workshops will be addressed to juniors in high schools since they study economics during that academic year. Finally, a competition will be organized entitled, “The real value of money” to encourage students to deepen their knowledge of the banking system. The bank will also open their branch offices for visits from students of all levels.
