Briefing on the status of the EU integration

TIRANA, Feb. 26 – A briefing that aimed to introduce Albanian media representatives on the status of Albania’s EU integration was organized in Tirana with the participation of journalists from both print and electronic media.
Key speakers informed the journalists on the status of the Albanian integration to EU from the government’s perspective, on the economic and financial consequences and economic “dreams” of the EU integration, the challenges and opportunities this process represents from an EU founding member’s perspective, the impact and role of EU representation in Albania, the role of EU-funded projects in fighting corruption, and the way media deals with EU related issues.
This briefing session was organized by DW Akademie, with the support of EU.
Albania is fulfilling an EU questionnaire on its application for the candidate status.
