TIRANA, May 21 – The British newspaper, The Sun, published an article on immigration covering a case of Albanians presenting themselves as coming from the former war-torn Kosova.
According to the newspaper, the article once again exposed Britain’s shameful immigration and asylum policies.
The Sun revealed how easy it was for murderers and sex traffickers to enter Britain posing as terrified refugees from war-torn Kosova.
Instead of having the door slammed in their faces, British passports and benefits were issued out to men who really came from neighboring Albania נand who only faced danger from rival mafia-type gangsters.
Though British officials have been aware of this practice, no officials are aware of how many of these thugs are among the 100,000 Albanians in Britain.
In fact, time and again the government has been forced to admit it does not know how many immigrants, legal and illegal, reside in the country.
Most of the 1,500 immigrants who arrive in Britain every day are hard working and law abiding men and women filling jobs most Britons do not want or cannot do.
But the government is reportedly moving too slowly to fulfill its pledges to get control of the problem.
That is why yesterday’s call by Labor minister Margaret Hodge to put British-born citizens at the head of the queue for housing is welcome.
The newspaper article noted that not controlling immigration only plays into the hands of extremists נas well as places an intolerable burden on the forces of law and order, already hamstrung by political correctness and red tape.
