FUSHE KRUJE, July 6 – A five-meter monument of former US President George W. Bush was raised Wednesday in the northern town of Fushe Kruje, which he visited when in Albania four years ago.
A ceremony was held there where Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and US Embassy personnel were present.
Bush made a historic visit to Albania in 2007 this day, the first-ever by a US president in this tiny western Balkan country. He also went to Fushe Kruje where he was cheered by hundreds of Albanians.
