TROPOJE, Aug. 7 – Police arrested three Albanians after finding 21 Zastava pistols and 300 rounds of ammunition.
Kujtim Musa Bajrami, 46, Isa Jakup Do詬 52, and E. D, 17, were arrested Tuesday in Fierza after the weapons were found in their Mercedes car.
The three were accused of weapon trafficking.
Thousands of weapons and ammunition have remained in people’s hands after army depots were looted in 1997 following the loss of life savings into failed pyramid investment schemes.
