TIRANA, March 27 – Canada-based Albania-born artist Mikel Temo is back home with a photo exhibition dedicated to children living with divorced parents.
“The exhibition is dedicated to children who for one reason or another grow up before their time and are forced to choose… ” says Temo.
The Canada based artist has dedicated the exhibition to his son Ron who was born in British Columbia, Canada.
The “A life born so far” exhibition at the FAB gallery of the University of Arts will be open until April 2.
Mikel Temo completed his studies in monumental painting and drawing at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, Albania in 1986 after training in an intensive program in traditional art, and received a PhD in Arts in 1997. From 1986 to 1998 Mikel shared his knowledge and love of art with students as a teacher at the Art School of Tirana. After exploratory trips to museums in Italy and France his work became more explicitly abstract.
Mikel’s work is in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Albania. He has resided in Vancouver, British Columbia since 2000.
