Carnival party in Shkodra to last a full week

SHKODRA, Jan.25- A week of festivities will mark the annual celebration of what has become a tradition in the northern city of Shkodra, the carnival. Borrowing from the old Venetian tradition colors masks and music and adding to them Albanian artistic craft and creativity, the inhabitants of Shkodra will have the opportunity to participate in special evenings through next week.
The organizer of the main activities that will be hosted in the restaurant ‘Tradita’ said that this year there is a new format of the holidays with thematic evenings. Each night will be dedicated to something different such as children students, old Shkodra music, witchcraft etc and to be finalized with a big gala night with participation of VIP artists which are not few in this city of well-known cultural tradition.
