Case of lost ethnic Albanian from Macedonia reopened

TIRANA, April 21 – The High Grave Courts reopened the case of Remzi Hoxha, an ethnic Albanian from neighboring Macedonia, who has not been heard from in 13 years and believed, by his family, to be dead.
Four former officials at the secret police, Shish, were accused of kidnapping Hoxha and two other persons and torturing them at a base in Lezha. Following the torture, Hoxha died.
One of the accused is a department head in the taxation department at the finance ministry. (Tirana Times Staff)
