TIRANA, June 19 – The Central Election Commission (CEC) complained that the local authorities were preventing the holding of a free and fair election process.
The CEC accused local authorities of an “unprecedented irresponsibility” that is putting in serious danger the standards of the election process.
The local authorities did not release a timely voters list, it said. That puts in danger the preparation of the logistics necessary for Election Day.
Albania holds on Sunday June 28 parliamentary elections to elect 140 new members of parliament.
