CoE investigators stopped by local Albanians
TIRANA, Aug 10 – International investigators accompanying Dick Marty were stopped by the villagers in a northern area asking them be accompanied by a local prosecutor as well, according to the local media.
The News24 website wrote that the international investigators, driven in justice ministry cars, were first blocked for two hours at Gurre village where they were supposed to investigate an alleged organ trafficking report during the Kosovo war ten years ago.
Local farmers asked for the presence of a local prosecutor in order to allow investigation at their houses. They also asked for a mandate to check the house in their village.
After two hours they turned back.
