Common project between Albanian artist and Euro MP to launch a series of events

Upcoming cultural agenda: 3 May – The Weltoffen forum will launch the cycle “under the pyramids shadow” at the Egyptian Culture center of Vienna Qendr쮠of the well-known Austrian artist, Robert Kabas. Silke Petsch -from the University of Arts in Vienna will open the activity which has been planned and organized by Fatmir Velaj. Another Albanian artist, Ardian Fezollari, distinguished in landscapes photography will also be part of the cycle.
11 may – Fatmir Velaj launches the initiative “AL-EU-AL” with the exhibition “Albanian feeling- European inspiration”- with paintings and photos of Fatmir Velaj and the European parliament member Hannes Swoboda. The Albanian Culture Minister, Ylli Pango will open the event at the National Museum. The event follows the exhibition on April 2001 organized by Hannes Swoboda in Brussels of the personal exhibition of Fatmir Velaj entitled: “Vlora-Vienna and Brussels” .
12 may – Fatmir Velaj and Hannes Swoboda launch in Vlora the common exhibition “AL-EU-AL: the rhapsody of the blue of the south” (in the context of the initiative “Albanian feeling- European inspiration”) – with paintings and photos. The event will be attended by education minister Genc Pollo.
12 may – a symposium will be organized at the university “Ismail Qemali” in Vlora, on the European perspectives of Albania. “AL-EU-AL: Europe-how far from the present?” Why is this European journey taking so long?”
Hannes Swoboda, Genc Pollo, Fatmir Velaj will discuss and then moderate a conversation with the audience on the following topics: What are the current realities, hopes, desires and Albanian perspectives to reach the European membership? Will Albania have to travel for a long time before it sees the EU green light?
20 may – “Celebration of the Albanian -Austrian friendship” in Rr촨en organized by the Austrian embassy in Tirana and the friendship association. An exhibition of 60 photos of the Austrian capital, Vienna will accompany the event.
