TIRANA, July 4 – Seeking to create professional guidelines in the media’s coverage of children, The Albanian Media Institute continued its forums with stakeholders last month.
In the first forum, media representatives and youth organization professionals met to review problems in existing laws dealing with media and children, as well as to discuss the professional guidelines developed by the The Albanian Media Institute.
The second forum brought together media representatives, judges, prosecutors, and other persons familiar with cases of juvenile justice and crime to discuss problems that the representatives of the judicial system see in the coverage of children in the media and to seek potential solutions.
