TIRANA, Dec.7- The global barometer that measures people’s perceptions on corruption worldwide is an annual study conducted and published by Transparency International. It raises awareness about he hardships of people who can not afford bribery especially in third world countries and thus are not guaranteed public services. The edition of this year for Albania explains that ordinary Albanians are deeply affected in their daily life especially in the sectors of education, health care, taxation authorities etc. The barometer this year included a sample of 63,199 people from 60 different countries and was conducted from June to September 2007. It was commissioned by TI to Gallup International Association. Health care was the most problematic sector in Albania followed by justice in the second place and thereafter by police forces, civil service and utility providers. Albanians seem to have engaged in more bribery this year, at least 71 percent of the surveyed people admit to have paid a bribe. Albania is followed in the lost by Kosovo and Macedonia.
