Council of Ministers offers bonuses for hydropower concessions

TIRANA, March.28 – In the weekly meeting the government discussed at length the recent project of giving out concession on small hydropower units. To improve the efficiency of the effort, Prime Minster Berisha discussed the possibility of offering an incentive to the companies to present plans for the most optimal use of water reserves. The company which will meet these criteria will be offered a bonus of 10 percent of the points in the competitive selection process. This bonus will give a stimulus to companies to build plants with high efficiency capacities.
The meeting also addressed the increasing levels of economic informality which call fro more intensive measures. Prime Minister Berisha called for stricter and more practical rules in the fields of transportation and fortune games.
