TIRANA, Jan. 30 – The Children’s Human Rights Centre of Albania, CRCA, a major children rights organization, announced Tuesday it would open a branch of the organization in Prishtina, Kosova. “I’m pleased to announce today”, said Altin Hazizaj, Director of CRCA, “that after so many years of working in Kosova with other partners, we at CRCA have decided to open our Kosova office. Our new office will aim to work with all local and international partners in order to improve the children’s rights situation for all children of Kosova.” The new branch of CRCA will be called Children’s Human Rights Centre of Kosova and will work based on the 10 year expertise of CRCA on lobby, advocacy, policy making and capacity building. “We have seen during the last few years that children’s rights in Kosova have made considerable progress”, said Hazizaj, “but since we share the same culture and language as the Kosovan people we want to be able to advance children’s rights on both sides of the border. We want to assist the Government and NGO’s in Kosova by providing them with the best strategies and approaches for the implementation of CRC.”
