TIRANA, July 10 – The EU Info Centre in Tirana has celebrated the Croatian Week leading up to Croatia’s accession to the EU. The week held from 25 June until 1 July was organised with the aim of informing the general public about this significant moment for Croatia, about Croatia’s path to accession and Albania’s aim to join the EU. The EU Info Centre promoted Croatia as a country known for its tourism and world heritage and Croatian culture. The Croatian Embassy in Albania provided great support to this event by providing various promotional materials. In addition, a countdown was announced at the EU Info Centre each day marking how many days to the day of accession.
Croatia is also celebrating its National Day and its accession to the European Union with a special photo exhibition called “Croatia and Albania from the air.” The exhibition organized by the Croatian embassy in Tirana has brought together renowned Croatian and Albanian photographers Robert Rebersak and Alket Islami famous for their aerial photographs.
The exhibition will be open at the National Museum of History in Tirana from July 2 to 11.
A similar exhibition was also featured a couple of years ago at the Zvonimir Gallery of the Croatian Defence Ministry on the second anniversary of Albania and Croatia’s NATO membership.
