TIRANA, Oct. 6 – Three Albanian emerging artists have opened a collective exhibition showcasing their arts commitment to resist the pressure of current issues facing Albanians.

Arber Elezi, Lori Lako and Igli Marioni have come together at the Tirana Art Lab gallery in a show featuring works on anti-government protests, urban and social wreckage and the vices of the “neo-libertarian man.”

“What determined the selection of the artists was their joint ability to debate on current issues including the emergency issues of the context where they live or were born and express them through art,” organizers say.

“Secondly, there was the artistic commitment to resist the pressure of issues and lastly, the coherence, not only to resist but also get inspired of the contemporary realities,” they add.

The one-month exhibition will be open until October 29.
