TIRANA, Oct. 15 – A special exhibition has opened at the newly restored Durres archaeological museum, offering the visually impaired the opportunity to get acquainted with Albania’s archaeological heritage through a set of 27 reproduced artifacts from the museum’s rich collection dating back from pre-history.

Every item on display in the “No Light” exhibition is accompanied by explanatory notes in the Braille alphabet. The exhibition has been conceived in a way that all visitors can enjoy it through touching.

The landmark Durres archaeological museum which houses around 3,200 items dating back from prehistory to the Middle Ages, finally reopened to the public last March after a five-year reconstruction saga.
