Economic forum examines actual and future Greek investment potential

TIRANA, Dec.20- The Greek embassy organized a economic forum binging together business companies from Greece that operate in Albania and local companies which export to the neighbor country. The Greek investments win Albany are present in the most strategic sectors such as telecommunications (in both currently existing mobile operators), banking (Alpha bank, Piraeus bank, NBG), food imports, etc. potential future sectors in which interest has been shown by Hellenic business are the energy sector especially the concessions on small hydro power plants and the mineral extractions field.
Minister of Economics, Trade and Energy addressed the forum. Risk and return rates are in the traditional relationship, with higher risks necessarily yielding higher returns for investors in Albania, according to Ruli. The Minister also explained the problems that local business in Albania has with competitiveness and in facing the large European markets.
Greek ambassador Kokosis mentioned in his speech the difficulties that Greek companies are trying to overcome with the help of a new confidence climate that has been established between the tow parties.
