TIRANA, Nov. 27 – The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy and the Shkodra city hall signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation which obliges them to find qualified assistance and public investment for the development of the industrial zone in the northern city. The city and the ministry are interested and are trying to revitalize a former project on turning Shkodra into an industrial zone, park following the European Union rules and principles. The move would be a great assistance and develop not only the area but also improve the local residents’ life. The ministry was committed to propose the area as an industrial one to the government and prepare the proper legislation for that. It would also closely cooperate with the local authorities and try to attract foreign investment on that.
