‘Euro-Albanian Contacts’ in Brussels

TIRANA, Sept. 17 – An exhibition featuring 50 maps of Albanian territories in a 17-century period has opened at the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels. Organized by the opposition Socialist Party, the exhibition titled “Euro-Albanian Contacts” is the first of this kind displaying the cartography of Albanian territories in centuries, according to curators Artan Shkreli and Artan Lame.
Around 100 European publications on Albania, its tourism and culture are also displayed in the exhibition which in the next few weeks will also travel to Albania.
“Euro-Albanian Contacts” is aimed at promoting Albania’s positive image on the country’s 100th anniversary of independence.
