TIRANA, Jan. 17 – Bledar Sejko & Adrian Lulgjuraj, the duo who will represent Albania at Eurovision 2013 in Sweden next May, will sing their entry in the Albanian language.
“Our song cannot convey the same message in another language, because it is composed thinking and singing in Albanian. For this reason we decided to keep our song in the Albanian language and not to translate it in English. We have already started to work on the new Eurovision version,” singer and guitarist Sejko told local media.
The ethno rock ballad sung by Albanian-Montenegrin Adrian Lulgjuraj and famous Albanian singer and guitarist Bledar Sejko called “Identity” received almost maximum points from an international jury of seven members last December. “We want to convey to the whole world a joint identity, with no religious and regional differences, a unique identity without division,” Lulgjuraj said after being announced winner. The patriotic ethno rock ballad was applauded after singer and guitarist Bledar Sejko gave a special performance electrifying the public when he used his teeth to play his electric guitar.
The festival’s winning duo Adrian Lulgjuraj and Bledar Sejko did not escape media accusations of plagiarism for their “Identity song”, allegedly similar to Serbia’s “Plavi safir” by Bajaga band.
The 2013 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Malm
