Fany Mares brings ‘The Colors of Mexico”

TIRANA, March 7 – Artist Fany Mares is brining “The Colors of Mexico” to Albania which this year marks its 100th anniversary of independence. The exhibition by the Mexican artist will feature Mexico and its bright colours blending the indigenous cultures and the culture of Spain with portraits, traditional costumes, and venues.
The exhibition will be open at the National Historical Museum in Tirana from March 13 to 18.
“The purpose of my work is to show the essence of things, what we don’t see but sometimes perceive…that which lies beyond matter,” says the Mexican painter.
Born and raised in Mexico City, since 2004 Mares has been working from her home studio in Mission, Texas.
Mares admires Michelangelo, Van Gogh, and Siqueiros for their passion.
