DURRES, Nov. 9 – Sigal Uniqa Group Austria, Albania’s biggest insurer, has inaugurated the first art and culture club in the coastal city of Durres, turning it into an ideal place for literature, music and visual arts admirers. The club was inaugurated last Tuesday in a ceremony bringing together Durres local government officials as well as writers, politicians and businessmen.
Sigal Albania’s director general Avni Ponari said the opening of the first club of this kind was aimed at promoting art and cultural heritage in Durres, the country’s second biggest city known for its ancient archeological sites and monuments.
Situated in the city center, the club offers library, art gallery and music premises which it will use to organize different events.
